Current Conditions For Southeast Minnesota

24 August 2005:  

All is well: the weather is fantastic and area streams have cleared nicely after a barrage of rains last Friday.  However, there is rain in the forecast for Thursday and Friday both before a nice weekend outlook.

I have been out extensively both guiding and fishing in the past two weeks.  I ran into a few other anglers last Saturday, but that's to be expected, and there certainly aren't any crowding issues.

Patterns that have worked lately include the following: scuds, Black Wet Flies, PT's, soft hackled PT's, Stimulators, 3P Ants.
