Adams Dry Fly

Hook: TMC100/TMC101 (#12-18)

Thread: 8/0 Unit - brown, tan, dun, olive

Tail: Mix of brown/blue dun

Hackle Tips: Grizzly/ white or dun poly post (also pink as pictured)

Hackle: Grizzly and either brown or blue dun

This fly is universally accepted and just plain catches fish.  I used it last season during the Dark Hendrickson hatches in April.  The trout checked off the hackle tips, which actually made the fly better.  There are quite a few little steps to tying this patterns, but I find myself fishing it more and more.  It's very effective as the main fly of a dry and dropper set up as well.
