Thread: Black 8/10, 10/0, 12/0

Wing: Pale dun zelon

Shuck/Tail: Black antron

Body: Black thread

Thorax: Black Fur

Hackle: Dark dun (3-4 turns and trim bottom)

Tying Notes: This pattern is tied on a #20 hook and is a highly effective pattern on Midwestern streams.  There are many different combinations for this pattern:

Body color: olive, charcoal gray, pale brown

Wing color: pale dun, medium dun, dark dun

Shuck color: black, charcoal gray, tan

Hackle color: dark dun, brown, medium dun

*Apply floatant to all parts of the fly except the shuck.
