Brassie

Hook: TMC2487 (#16-22) 

Thread: Black, gray, etc 

Body: Fine copper wire 

Head: Black or gray dubbing, peacock herl, etc.

Comments: The brassie is a common winter midge patterns.  It is usually fished as a dropper with  another larger pattern such as a scud or Gold Ribbed Hare's Ear.  It's a basic fly in terms of tying and a dozen can be tied in no time at all.
