Olive Deep Sparkle Pupa (Gary LaFontaine)

Hook: Standard nymph hook (#12-16)

Thread: Black

Body: Touch dubbed light olive antron Sparkle Dubbing

Veil: Olive antron pulled loosely over body

Wings: Sparse Hungarian partridge

Head: Loosely dubbed brown Superfine

Comments: This deadly pattern imitates caddis pupa which has inflated its exoskeleton with gas to help it rise to the surface and emerge.  It’s great during rockworm emergence but works almost anytime as a general searching nymph.
